For almost 25 years Thurman’s Bike & Sport has been putting children and adults
of all ages on bicycles and letting loose on the city streets, trails and area
roads. Twenty-five years ago everyone rode the bikes with “down turn handlebars”
and skinny, racing wheels. We carried the Schwinn line of bicycles back then and
many Varsity, Continental, Suburban and Stingray bicycles went out our doors.
These bikes weren’t known for their comfort features, but how things have
changed in recent years.
Meet the new line of bicycles that are designated “Comfort bicycles.” Designed
off of a mountain bike frame or a hybrid/cross frame, these bikes have a front
and rear shock absorbing system, adjustable upright body positioning, 21
easy-to- adjust speeds with a flick of the wrist, and a large padded seat that
no one could find uncomfortable. And to keep your bike in top form, you get
lifetime free minor adjustments, free first year tune-up, lifetime warranty on
the frame against defects and a very low, affordable price.
Bicycling has never been easier or more enjoyable. We’ve seen people who have
never ridden a bike for 30-40 years come back to what we call “the most
enjoyable mode of transportation.” Stop in for a test ride of one of the many

Finally, for those who love the open road as I do, we carry and special order
all of the road bikes from Trek, Lemond and Klein. From the cost conscious
aluminum to full carbon fiber frames and forks, we have a road bike that will
fit your needs and your budget.

through the years that you own it, those minor adjustments are free as well. We
