Comfort bicycles hit the scene about six years ago and they
have continued to lead the way in sales at our store. Comfort bicycles come
either in a 700c hybrid wheel or the standard 26-inch mountain bike wheel. On
most models you will find a suspension seat post, larger seat, front shocks,
combination street/trail tires and a more upright riding position. Shifting
systems are very simple to use and the gear ratio is set up for easy pedaling up
the steepest hills. Below you will find just some of the models that we carry.

TREK NAVIGATOR 2.0 and 3.0 The Trek Navigator series of mountain
comfort bikes has been the best selling line of any manufacturer of comfort
bicycles. In 2007 the bikes were redesigned and new colors added. Both of these
models have alpha aluminum frames, RST front shocks and 21- or 24-speed grip
shift shifters for easy shifting of all gears. The combination tire makes
pedaling in town easier yet still provides traction off road when the terrain
gets rough. Suspension seat post and a very large spring loaded saddle teamed
with an adjustable handlebar stem makes this bike easy to adjust and comfortable
to ride. We carry all frame sizes from 14.5 inches up to 21 inches and they come
in both men’s and women’s frame sizes as well. All comfort bicycles include a
kickstand in our price. If you thought bicycles were awkward and uncomfortable
to ride then you haven’t been on a Trek Navigator. It’s sure to put a smile on
your face.

TREK 7100 AND GARY FISHER TIBURON The 7000 series of bicycles by Trek
are comfort hybrids. These bicycles have a taller, narrower but much lighter
wheel than the comfort mountain bicycles. This bike works great on city streets,
highways or railroad lines that have been converted to biking trails. You will
find that this bike accelerates more quickly and goes up hills at faster speeds.
Built similar in design to the Navigator series, it has all of the same comfort
features only in a lighter, more responsive set-up. The Gary Fisher Tiburon is
similar in specifications but comes with 21 speed rapid fire shifters.

TREK 7300 Redesigned for 2008. The 7300 is better and lighter than
before. This comfort hybrid has been a favorite for owners that ride
consistently through the season and are looking for a bike to be durable and
responsive. For 2008, add, “just plain fun to ride“. The entire frame has been
redesigned with aerodynamic aluminum tubing and a mono front shock which
eliminates a lot of weight and makes this bike handle and perform much better
that the previous model. All ready one of our top sellers for this Spring, this
is one bike definitely worth checking out.

TREK 7500 Redesigned for 2008. Another change up for Trek. The 7500
has the same new frame and fork as the 7300. Upgrades are Bontrager SSR wheels
and a Shimano Deore 27 speed shifting system. If you’re looking to do some long
group rides, commute to work or just looking for one of the smoothest riding
comfort hybrids, this bike will fit your needs. I can’t say enough about “light”
rides “better”. Trek made some nice improvements and they’re easy to distinguish
when you ride this bike.

GARY FISHER ZEBRANO and NIRVANA These bikes mimic many of the same
features as the Trek 7000 series The specifications are very similar to the Trek
models but come with a rapid fire shifting system instead of the standard grip
shift. The Gary Fisher models scale back on some of the comfort features
offering the rider a lighter and more aerodynamic riding position. The Nirvana
has upgrades with derailluers and shifters and a lock out feature on the front
shock.
