Thurman’s Bike & Sport has been serving southeast Nebraska for
almost 25 years. Started in April of 1981 on the downtown streets of Nebraska
City, the store opened selling only Schwinn bicycles and Nike shoes. Back then
it was affectionately known as “Bike and Nike”. Several years later the full
line of sporting goods equipment, shoes and apparel plus the addition of
embroidery and engraving serves forced a move to a larger building.
Today, Thurman’s Bike & Sport is a full line bicycle and exercise fitness
dealer, Nike, Adidas and Asics shoe and apparel dealer and full line sports
equipment dealer. We also provide embroidery, screen printing, custom iron on
lettering, trophies and engraving and bicycle and fitness repair services.
Somehow we have managed to squeeze all of this into 3500 square feet of retail
space and an additional 1500 square feet of warehouse and service space.
